REGRESS
Regress is a weird situation.
It's a conglomeration of old school Chicago punks. It's me on guitar, Joe Losurdo (Life Sentence/Regressive Films) on bass and vocals, and Anthony Illardi (Rights Of The Accused) on drums. We released two 7"s, and were on a Maximum Rock'N'Roll comp. Joe and Anthony still live in Chicago. I, on the other hand, have spent my time moving around the country. I think I was in Florida when we first created this thing. Maybe Texas. I can't remember. But, living out of state made things difficult. But, I would fly up for the occasional show, and for the original recordings, but we could also record tracks via email and record without me having to travel. We did some shows in Chicago, and the guys did a few more with a guest guitar player sitting in for me for the shows that I couldn't attend. We also did a European tour in 2005. We have a ton of new material, and Joe keeps threatening a new record soon. Time will tell.
Our take is doing straight up, early 80's style HC, complete with Reagan references. It's what we know, It's fun, and kid snotty, and tight as hell, and I love this band. We were formed in 1996 and are still together, technically, but logistics are a pain in the ass. But, I wouldn't be surprised if a new Regress release comes out in the near future..
This is a track from our "Look Who's Pulling The Strings" ep.
These are tracks from the "Price Of Power" ep.
This is a live video from a show in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2005. It was in a tent made of tarps and carpet on the banks of the Danube River. That's a propane heater on stage with us. Plus 200-300 kids getting really crazy, swinging from the ceiling, stage diving, etc. We all thought that we would surely die that night in a horrific fire from the heater getting knocked over by the crowd jumping on and off of the stage, or, at least from electrocution, as extension cords ran across puddles in the tent.
It was hands down the funnest show on the tour. Here's a few songs from that show.
