I am now officially on display at the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas!On display is the very first record we recorded, "Yes, We Have No Bananas!" with my first band Negative Element. It was recorded at the end of 1982 and released on Version Sound records at the start of 1983. It's kinda just basic mid tempo punk stuff, as opposed to my homage to powerpop that I did with "Woo Girls And Wheelie Kids". I also mixed and mastered it myself this time, which is not my strong suit. I just wanted honest music. No autotune, no quantizing, just play your best take. It's a detailed chronicle of the history of the alternative music scene not only in Peoria, but for all of the Anytown, USA's out there.My brothers and I are featured pretty heavily in the first part of the book. There is also a companion album featuring many of the bands from the book  [...] ]]></description><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;"><font color="#2a2a2a">There's a great new book out called "Punks In Peoria-Making A Scene In The American Heartland" by Jonathan Wright and Dawson Barrett (from University Of Illinois Press). It's a detailed chronicle of the history of the alternative music scene not only in Peoria, but for all of the Anytown, USA's out there.<br />My brothers and I are featured pretty heavily in the first part of the book. In celebration of these releases, the authors put on a music fest in Peoria with many of the old bands reforming. So, me and my brothers reunited our old band <strong>E.C.A. </strong>to play the fest. I have no timeline on this project so I'm just playing around with it when I have the time, but it's coming along nicely.
